My Year in the Country

I am the light of my adopted parents' life after generously allowing them to take me home. I adopted them at Hoboken Animal Hospital where I was having a "spa treatment" (deworming, ear mite removal, and minor plastic surgery after my injured tail was removed) because they looked so pathetic when they saw me. Now these two have gone off to China to teach English for a year, so I currently reside with the adopted grandparentals until they return. They live in the country, so there are lots of new things to see and do. I have agreed to pose for many endearing pictures and to recount my days' events here for all to purr over.

Waiting to Pounce

Beware, feet and ankles that dare pass me! I am upstairs waiting for someone to come out of that bedroom that is off limits to me. I have been allowed in during the day to explore, but one time I got in at night and bounced around on the bed and found interesting lumpies to bite that turned out to be Big Ma's toes, so she showed me the door. I just wait outside patiently until one of the boring folks gets up early. It's dark when they get up, and I am usually lying right in front of their door, so they better watch their steps! Hhmmm...maybe I better watch my own hide. What are you doing right now?

Oh lord, and it begins! Coco used to do that to us all the time, but after a few months of not being able to get into our room, he gave up and settled elsewhere for the night. He's such a trouble maker!
